Anna Andersen

Anna worked as the principle director and producer for two short films on Global Citizen's website to raise awareness around healthy lifestyles and eating in NYC.

Anna took half the photos for the first North American edition of StartUp Guide NYC edition. Covering startups, programs, schools, spaces, investors, and founders.

Working as a Junior Designer at We Are Social, Anna designs and creates content for clients such as HBO, Lego, Citizen, Bulova, Elomi, and more. Day-to-day, Anna works with the Adobe creative suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, and Illustrator. In addition to design, Anna works with top designers on name brand shoots and post-production.

Preparing English lessons in primary school about American culture, language and customs. Anna helped the principal teacher by giving exams, grading exams, reviewing everyday workbooks, assigning homework, helping the teacher with whatever she needed.

Anna was the principal photographer and co-director for clips and commercials in a comedy show. She co-managed all social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Anna also assisted in locating talent and working with children and adult actors alike.

Anna and her co-director created this film on a no-budget budget. They did all the scouting, camera and audio work, production, photography, editing, social media and event coordinating for this film.

First, Anna worked as an intern who focused on social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, HootSuite, Eventbrite, ConstantContact, DonorTools and Flickr and office maintenance. Later, she assisted in Journal and Arab Film Festival curation and she created the 9th Twin Cities Arab Film Festival Trailer and the Mizna Matters video. Anna helped coordinate, plan, and curate Northern Spark Project exhibit Still / Life / Syria with photographer Osama Esid, Summer 2015.

Anna edited video, sound, and posters for the short film "Meat." Helped in the creation of the trailer for the short "Meat." Contributed to the organization and submission of "Meat" to film festivals around the country. She managed social media accounts, answered e-mails, and completed basic office tasks.

Advocates for Human Rights is a non-profit organization that helps refugees applying for asylum in the United States. Anna worked here as an intern for the semester during which I had to talk to clients on the phone, set up interviews and write cases files for lawyers to view and choose as pro-bono cases.
